Akshay Kumar: Will talk about my friend Vindoo later

MUMBAI: Actor Akshay Kumar has cleared the air about his friendship with Vindoo Dara Singh, who has been arrested in the spot fixing scandal of the domestic T20 league. “I will talk about the IPL and my friend Vindoo later,” he said during a media interaction in Mumbai, recently. Vindoo, who is a reality TV show participant, has acted with Akshay in “Kambakkht Ishq” (2009).
Kumar has however denied having anything to do with the domestic T20 league or spot-fixing, even though he has admitted that Vindoo is his friend.
Meanwhile, the trailer of Akshay’s upcoming film “Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Again” shows him as the underworld don involved in cricket betting. But Akshay says, “It is just the character that I am playing. People should not connect it with anything.”
The film is due for release in India in August during Eid, along with Shah Rukh Khan’s “Chennai Express.” Asked if he’s worried about the films clashing, he says, “Eid is a big day. It is big enough for two films.”
