Akshay Kumar-Shilpa Shetty's 'Dhadkan' to return

The makers of Akshay Kumar-Shilpa Shetty starrer 'Dhadkan' are planning a sequel to the romantic blockbuster.

The 2000 romantic drama, directed by Dharmesh Darshan dealt with the love triangle between Akshay, Shilpa and Sunil Shetty. The film was produced by Ratan Jain of Venus.
"A lot of people have been constantly asking me about our plans of making 'Dhadkan 2'. I am happy to announce that we plan to go on-floors this year. The essence of the film will remain same however, the new age sensibilities will be kept in mind," Ratan Jain said in a statement.
The makers are looking to release the film sometime next year.
"I feel humbled and honoured. To follow-up what is considered a classic is challenging," Darshan said.

John signs 'Welcome Back', says Akshay happy for him

John Abraham has replaced Akshay Kumar in 'Welcome Back', a sequel to 'Welcome', and says that the Bollywood Khiladi is "happiest" for him.

In the 2007 hit comedy Welcome, Akshay played the main lead.

"Akshay is like my elder brother. Whatever I do, I always have a lot of discussions, especially with him. Akshay is happiest for me when I told him that I am doing Welcome Back. He said it's a very good film and you should do it," the 40-year-old said on the sets of TV show Bade Acche Lagte Hain where he was promoting his film Shootout at Wadala.

"It's an outstanding script, kids will love it and I am looking forward to doing it," he added.

John has reportedly charged Rs.15 crore for Welcome Back, but did not confirm the news.

"As far as money is concerned, I don't talk about money at all as I think it's not as important. I charge because I think I deserve it. But I give it to charity because I think that's more important," John said.

Mumbai German model-actress Claudia Ciesla, who featured in hit item number "Balma" in Akshay Kumar-starrer "Khiladi 786", is open to do more such songs, but on a condition.

Released in December last year, action-comedy "Khiladi 786" was directed by Ashish R. Mohan and Asin Thottumkal played the female lead in it.

"I don't mind doing item songs. After 'Balma', which got really popular and became a super hit, I got a lot of offers for item songs and Bollywood roles. But I will do item songs once I am really convinced. It should not be less than 'Balma', in which I danced with Akshay," she said here during a photo shoot.

"If I will get excited about a project...then I really won't mind doing an item song," she added.

Making her entry into Indian showbiz with third season of reality show "Bigg Boss", Claudia was recently seen doing stand-up comedy in Sony TV's show "Comedy Circus".
